"crack" er barrel

The past couple of weekends us Stone's have eaten at the "CRACK" er barrel...Our First family dinner there with Hayden was on valentines night....LOL he was so funny OMG...He decided to stick his nose up at the baby food i brought and reach for some yummy cracker barrel biscuits...Needless to say his first visit turned my sweet baby boy into a ravaged animal with the wild eyed look of a "crack" addict LOL....I have never seen anything like it in all my life....He sounded like a little pig snorting after his food...One Bite of the mac n cheese, green beans and homemade biscuit and that is all it took...My sweet little boy ate like a grown man :) it was so funny and I will never forget his face as long as i live...The pictures above don't do his actual look justice, because by this point he had finished a whole biscuit, side of mac n cheese and a half order of green beans :) oh lord...Baby food has not been the same since :) HEHEHEHEHHE

No Flu at My House WHOO HOOO

So my mommy diagnosis was totally wrong THANK GOODNESS No Flu!!!!! Took Gracie too the Doctor today and she had fever,headache,tummy ache, cough, body aches,Exhaustion, but it was just a virus and she is gonna be okay..She has rested the past couple of days so good deal....Hayden has been acting puny as well so I decided to ask the doctor to check him and turns out my lil man has an ear infection...Glad he was checked today....So needless to say I have had 3 sick kids for over a week plus i have visited our kids doctor twice in one week....I think we have met our deductible by now :) Hannah is finally acting herself and Gracie is not running a fever tonight so we are on the right track....Got Hayden some strong meds for the infection :)!!!!

I am so thankful we don't have the influenza in our house :) PTL !!!!!


Maybe we can get back to normal over the next couple of days! YEAH RIGHT the stone's NORMAL HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Cold Vs. Flu

Hannah started feeling horrible last Tuesday and had a tummy ache and horrid headache, but she felt better for a little while after I gave her Tylenol..So I sent her to school Wednesday only for her to come home feeling bad again with no real reason...Wednesday night Hannah's head was hurting so bad she was crying and she kept saying that she just felt so bad....Thursday she woke up with 102.8 temp, mild sore throat, vomiting, headache and just felt horrible....The Doc ruled out strep and said she had a sore throat virus....NOT I believe she has had the stinking flu and I stand by my mommy diagnoisis....she stayed sick with a fever for 2 full days and she has had all of the flu symptoms over a 7 day period, but ended up with a horrible nasty cough the last 2 out of the 7 days she has been sick and she still feels weak at times....For the most part she is okay!
Yesterday...Gracie started acting funky with her tummy...She has tummy issues anyway so i just assumed that it was her regular problem then today she came home from school feeling horrible and listless....I checked her temp and it was 101.6...she has fussed about a horrible headache and sounds like a seal...She told me earlier that she just felt horrible...
Hayden saw the doctor the same day Hannah did but wasn't sick...He saw the doc for a check up and got a flu shot, but I don't think it was in time because it takes 2 weeks for the shot to actually work! GREAT :) RIGHT?....He has been sick with a nasty cold and cough and runny nose and not eating well but No temp so far...?!?! I have no idea what is up with him....I am just praying that next week he doesn't show up with the temp and start the same mess my girls have had.....

SO if you are wondering if you or your kids have the flu or not or if it is just a cold here are the symptoms :)

If you have kids...Get Germ X and Make sure they are using it....I make hannah and gracie load up on it in the car when i pick them up from school and I remind them to wash their hands or germ x during the school day! Hannah's teachers are all germ freaks so i honestly think she got it from church not school!

I have turned into a nut...I went to walmart and sprayed the buggie with lysol then wiped it down with germ x I have never been like this but We have never been sick like this and I have become a believer in prevention! .....I have also invested in proboidics and lots of yogurt to keep the stomach bug down....My friend allison has given this to her kids for years and they NEVER have the stomach bug...

I look forward to flu season being over especially for my house...Hope everyone stays well :)

what's been going on this week well here it is :)

*Hannah quit horse back...She has fallen a good bit off of her horse, but a few weeks ago she fell mid jump while jumping a 2 ft rail...she hit her back and neck and hurt for a couple of days...Monday was her lesson and she refused to go and had a panic attack almost! She still loves horses and hopes to get back on them again, but needs a break for a while!

*Shane and I have a lot of decisions to make in a short amount of time...most of which are very anticipated...Sometimes i feel overwhelmed by all of the stuff facing us, but i certainly am excited by it as well. It's all good and will be a huge blessing for our family in every way....

*I am so in love with my man :)....I love working on our marriage together. I am so thankful for our relationship but, also for all he does and brings to it..my goals for the past few weeks have been to work on myself as a wife and to respect my husband as God has called me to do....I must say that Shane is pretty amazing at showing his love for me..He knows exactly what i need in our relationship and what it means for me to feel loved by him...He isn't perfect; trust me, but he has and does work hard and show the effort to be the husband that God has called him to be...I however as many women have a hard time bringing to the table the respect and affirmation that he needs to feel loved...this is biblical for me to do this and it is overlooked by tons of women in their marriage because they don't think that respect and affirmation is what their husband needs to feel loved...God shows us this clearly in his word to help us better understand our men, but it is easier sometimes to roll my eyes and call him an idiot or act mad at him when he comes home just because i feel like it :).....now i am not always like this to shane, but had to step back and assess my calling as a wife to love my husband and to be more diligent in my efforts to work on our relationship...We all should strive to do better as a wives and husbands and work on ourselves instead of trying to fix the other person :) so that is what i have been doing and working on!

*Took Hayden to the Doctor for his 9 month check up...Ended up having to take Hannah too...She woke up yesterday with 102.8 temp....
Hayden's visit went well...He got his normal vaccine and a flu shot as well...He is 95 percentile in weight and off the charts in Height..coming in at almost 31 inches tall! He is reacting to his flu shot with flu like symptoms today so i am not liking that to much...It is hard to see my little man sluggish and out of it! :( he is crawling very well and into everything...He makes me giggle with some of his serious faces that he makes...what a cute, sweet little man....
Hannah has a virus/stomach bug/ i have no idea really what it is that you could call it but she has been home from school for two days...She has a persistent fever of 102.8 that has to have motrin to bring it down, but it comes back as soon as the medicine has worn off....so i am going to have to take her back to the doc for a round of tests if it doesn't go away in the next day or so! She is my sweet baby girl and I hate for her to be sick period! Even sick she makes me smile with her funny little way that she has :) My sweet baby girl who is also my clone :)
*Gracie is going stir crazy and driving me,hayden and hannah nuts....she had to miss school as well since she only goes for 3 hrs a day it is kind of hard to get her there and pic her up with two other kids not feeling well ...:) Shane has been amazing... he took time out to help me take the kids to the doc and has run countless errands for me so I am so thankful for him...I know he is super busy so it means a lot to me!

* Got rid of twitter this week...Only got it because shane had it LOL so he got sick of some of the guys(churchplanters) on his and deleted his account so i did too since he isn't on there and he is the one that created my account....so if you followed me on twitter and wonder why it is gone that is why!

I have never bleached and sprayed lysol so much in my whole life than in the past few days :) LOL ehehheheehheehehe I am seriously looking at purchasing probiotics asap!

my valentine's weekend weekend

Friday
*Laughed so hard at Gracie during lunch making "Daddy Faces" out of her pizza treatza lunchable :)

*Got so mad at hannah's school and can't wait for her to switch..I love her teachers, can't stand district one! :)and no i didn't show my anger, but OHHHHH i wanted too :)
*Had a blast watching the girls play outside with their friends while hayden took his ritual afternoon nap...
*Gracie began to learn to ride her bike with no training wheels :)

*Had an awesome family night friday night...i made chicken alfredo w/ basil and tomatos and garlic so good...and then we watched the mummy 3 it was funny :)! Hannah laughed so hard and gracie fell asleep as usual :)

Saturday
*Slept in for the first time in a LONG time....SO nice the whole family slept until about 10 am saturday
*the girls had a birthday party next door so shane and i relaxed on the couch while hayden took his afternoon nap...we watched our recorded flip this house episodes...LOVE that show...FUnny:)
*Got some beautiful valentine flowers from shane, but i must say every day is a valentine's day with him :)....
*us stone's headed over to gville valentine night to eat and visit with shane's memaw for valentine's day! she was so sweet :)
*we have been wanting cracker barrel forever and decided to go...Hayden got a taste of some of the food and his facial expresion looked like a drug addicted...he ate a whole bisguit, mac n cheese and greenbeans OH my lord it was the funniest experience :)
Sunday
*I got to sit with my two men at church this morning....LOVED it...
*Our saturday's and sundays are so awesome...We spent the afternoon playing wii, watching flip this house and playing outside...I love watching shane play with our girls outside...
*Shane grilled steaks and catfish on our grill while i baked steak fries :) yummy :)
*Watched WWE and Got so tickled at Hannah how angry she gets at the matches with her daddy :)

had a wonderful weekend I am so blessed :)

These are mine..Mini cupcakes for gracie's class..I made these because her teachers asked that the cupcakes be small LOL so I made and of course they aren't from scratch but never the less gracie wanted love bugs because hannah was getting them sooo "it was only fair" as she put it that she have some as well..so here are my mini lady love bugs :) LOL

Valentines Gifts

Popee and Meme sent the kids their valentine presents today...the kids were so excited to get valentine build a bears.. Hannah got a dog with a heart dress and a heart leash , gracie got a pink monkey with heart outfit and Hayden got a cute Horse....Here are the pics :)

Charlotte Bobcats

OK so Shane and I LOVE Charlotte Panthers but We also like the Charlotte Bobcats...NBA if you were wondering...In November we went to our first bobcats game and had a blast, but Last night we got to go again and it was so much fun...First off shane got us baseline front row seats, which are the seats right behind the courtside...so that was cool by itself, but the game was so much fun the guys played so good :)! They Played the L.A. Clippers and beat them 94 to 73 it was awesome and I enjoyed my time with shane :)!

Ringling Brothers Circus

Shane surprised us about a month ago with front row celebrity tickets to the circus...I must say i was a little concerned about Hayden and how he would act but He LOVED it and I am so glad he got to go! He loved the acrobats and clowns :)




Hannah Loved the animals...We saw Horses,Elephants,Tigers and Dogs...They were so cute...Hannah's Favorite was the horses of course :)

We all loved being celebrities in the circus and sitting on the floor with a close up view of the show :) it was so much fun!

*That our Heat is working right for a change...it was not working properly but is nice and cozy now...Just a simple little problem...

*That our master bathroom pipe to our shower didn't bust...the vent in the bricks was open and caused that one pipe to freeze the other night....the rest of the house was fine thank the Lord, but that one was froze solid....We closed the vents and the pipe is fine :) YAY! I guess we are still getting used to the new house :) which I am also thankful for...So cute and Love it so much :) Thank you Jesus!

*Thankful for the weekend and a chance to breath for the crazy week we have had :)

*so grateful for heat during this cold weather...I am a true southern girl and HATE the cold DESPISE it even.....I love fall,spring and summer but would skip over winter any day! I hate snow and ice and frigid temps....Bring on the heat :)

My Weekend

*Had a Horrid Cold that felt like the flu for 3 days but didn't stop just kept going....it might would have only lasted one day had I rested (SHRUG) LOL

*Went to Powerdersville Friday Night and Had a blast with the Cox's until midnight...we are crazy :) I felt horrible but they cheered me up :) we ate at sonny's and then went to their house for a while....Hayden LOVES Dana :) but Jimmie Not so much LOL he was going into convulsions at the site of Jimmie :) LOL hehehe it was hilarious :)...I think he has bad memories of him holding him during the play...Hayden is seriously over being baby Jesus! LOL

*Saturday was a amazing day...I felt soooooooo bad but enjoyed our family time....we did our normal I hop thing and Played around the house the rest of the day...Saturday night we watched movies....Toy Story....and then Home Alone 2 We laughed so hard till we cried..What is it about people getting hurt? I just don't know but it is funny :)....I had a blast watching Shane and the Girls Play football in the back yard the were cute....Shane made the girls do a push up once or twice it was sooo funny :) They were laughing and giggling :)!

*Yesterday was sooo good....Church was good...Loved the P & W and Shane's message on marriage was really good and made me want to be a better wife and convicted me of prioritizing my marriage...Now Our marriage is up there to me on the list of priorities, but I do however have a few things before it that need to be moved down a couple of rows :)....We honestly have a really good marriage, but that doesn't mean he doesn't drive me nuts HEHEHHEHEHEE and that I don't drive him nuts occasionally i mean we are human...I want to strive to be a more "Excellent Wife" Got to get that book :) Ya know you always have to work on it ;). ...After Church we had another amazing family day.....I even went outside and threw the football a few times :)....Loved the super bowl last night.....I was just as into it as I am watching the panthers....If you didn't know, i was yelling and screaming for the Cardinals...Kurt Warner is awesome and I love Larry Fitzgerald :) They played a good game...I was so tense and crazzzzy during the game....I told shane if hayden really ever does play i will be clawing people's eyes out LOL HEHEHEHHHEHEHE I really don't know what it is, but football makes me crazy :) LOL HEHEHHEHEHEH I LOVE IT :) WHOO HOO...Looking forward to the Pro Bowl Next week GO NFC :) wink wink :)
