*Hayden (WOW) he has been a pill the past few days...He has screamed and cried and screamed and cried and I have screamed and cried and screamed and cried too :) LOL...PHEW....He is getting his top teeth in and he is seriously troubled by these new teeth cutting through....as much as his ill pill self can make a sane person crazy...That little booger is the most precious baby boy ever...He can be crying so hard and then stop to crying and look up at me with his big eyes and grin showing me his two bottom teeth...I am so grateful to have such a sweet little boy...
*My day today has been great...Got to spend some wonderful time with my family minus gracie who is having a blast with her best friend emily :)...

Just a Mom
"JUST A MOM"
right now i am blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom, For the past few years shane has been able to provide enough income for our family to allow me to stay home...However, When that income wasn't enough for our family i have been a working mom too so i have experienced both sides of motherhood....working and staying home...
When Hannah was smaller...i worked from 7 am till 5 pm everyday and also went to school at Greenville tech part time all at the same time..i took night classes and a class during lunch...On top of all of this i was heavily involved with church going Sunday, Sunday night and Wednesday nights never missing i was in the choir and taught classes too....not to mention the normal mommy stuff and wife stuff and house stuff...So i guess you can say i REALLY experienced working out of the home to the extreme....
now that i am a stay at home mom I can sometimes find myself feeling worthless, useless and like I am doing nothing...I know this isn't true, but i have struggled with the insecurities of being a stay at home mom in the past...One time a couple of years ago my oldest hannah asked me "what do you want to be when you grow up mommy" i felt like a stupid loser....Like being home with her and gracie was not important and that i quickly had to find a career route because my daughter thought being a stay at home mom wasn't good enough...Satan really used this to get me down and make me feel useless...I used that saying "I'm just a mom" a lot...When Actually I had the opportunity to impact the world through the two little people sitting in the car that day....I prayed for guidance and peace in my heart..but..i just couldn't understand how I 'the girl with all the dreams of being a doctor became "just a mom"....WOW 'just a mom' is the most important Job that i have been handed....I am "just a mom" who gets to stay home with her 3 kids and be there for their every need...experience everyday life with them....teach them Jesus...show them to forgive and ask forgiveness, Kiss them and hug them, but discipline(teach) them on how to behave and respect others...I am Just a mom who gets to impact their little lives every day and create earth shaking life change and visions of dreams and hope just with the reassuring of my belief in them and their abilities to succeed in how God made them while they are using the talents He gave them...I am "just a mom"
So yes i am blessed to be Just a mom....I am just a mom who:
*gets to sleep with one eye closed and one eye open to hear a whimper or cry from one of my 3 children
*changes diapers all time
*makes bottles and feeds the baby and it feels Like all day
*wipes snotty nose's and dirty big kid hiney's
*is the doctor i always dreamed of being, i get to mend broken hearts, fix wounds, kiss boo boo's and make them all better...
*gets interrupted while using the bathroom and taking a relaxing bath (yeah right it's relaxing):)
*hears kiddie shows all day
*thinks slipping away to the computer or lunch with my hubby is the equivalent to a spa retreat LOL
*follows my 5 year old down the hall sweeping up cookies and wiping up milk (paige has actually seen me do this LOL)
*is a homework helper
*gets to volunteer at school on the coldest day of the year LOL (nicole e. knows what i am talking about here)
*reads fancy nancy books all the time and actually likes it
*can qoute good night moon word by word
* had dreams of being a popular singer and they came true too...Have requests all the time from my kids and i feel like jukebox LOL
*grocery shopping with 3 kids HEHEHEHEHEH FUN FUN
*gets to play with her kids all the time YAY :)
*is also a taxi driver! and a screaming baby in a closed car NOT FUN especially with two whiney girls who are beating each other up and barney is playing in the back ground :) LOL
*is a walking burb cloth...smells like throw up all day
*does WAY too much laundry and wonders how 3 little people have more laundry then two grown ups?!?!?!?!?
*wears baby food after hayden decides to do raspberries with gerbers chicken noodle stage two in his mouth...So if i have a orange tint to my face that would be why!
*gets to tell my 3 little ones about Jesus and how he saved me and how much he loves me and how much he loves them...
*is totally blessed and highly favored
*is super blessed to be "JUST a MOM"

Hayden Napping
He hasn't been feeling too great the past few days...Shane blames the fall for that, but i don't think it has anything do with how he feels, I just think he is 6 months old and fighting something off...Anyway, He hasn't been sleeping well the past few nights sooo today he has been napping very well...Here is a pic of my cute baby boy:) He loves to snuggle like this and so he snuggled with the bumper pad :) so precious! You obviously can't hear him, but he is snoring like an old man :) LOL
The Stone's for Now
I am finally feeling a little better...I haven't felt good the past few days, but feeling much better...Hayden isn't doing so well either...kinda ill :) he cried off and on all night last night and didn't really have much of a reason....so I don't really know what is going on with him...He has a 6 month check up monday...Kind of a few weeks late for the check up but nevertheless it is still a check up....
Hannah had the camp flintock people come to her school yesterday morning and I was so excited to help....I was stationed at the indian necklaces and had a blast making them with the 4th grade classes....
We have finally made a huge family (personal) decision, without going into any detail yet we have some loose ends to tie....We are really excited but still trying to be patient till we officially seal the deal next friday :)
I have been cleaning out...Something that I love to do.......I am in the mood for giving so if you want something come get it :) LOL :) HEHEHEHEHE within reason :) really
Gracie has been super tired lately...not sure what is going on with her either...
Anyway that is what is going on so far in our life as of now...

a beautiful poem
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.
Mary Elizabeth Frye (1905-2004).
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,

I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

Give Thanks Unto The Lord
I am so grateful and blessed...So here are a few things i would love to shout out thanks for this day!
...I am thankful for....
...Hayden not getting hurt seriously after falling from the car seat to the floor...Which was on the dining room table
...My Amazing Breakfast with a Precious Friend
...The Retarded Tooth Fairy :) LOL OMG
...That God Is With Me and leads me to make the right decisions
...Our 6 week session in the Rogers Home Group...I heard that others have gone well too, but this past few weeks meeting on Tuesday night for me and Shane have be so encouraging...I have been blown away at the men in our home group and also in our church as a whole...We have a freaking awesome group of men in our church...Shannon tonight touched my heart when he stated that he was so glad he decided to come and be apart of the group these 6 weeks and that he didn't know how much fun hanging out with church folk could be....He asked "What we talking bout next Tuesday" even though we are taking a break for the holidays seeing the enthusiasm and excitement on the men's eyes about getting together for the next session was so cool to me! and the discussion really blessed and encouraged me and my husband...I look forward to more home group times :)

Stone Girls
My Girls are so funny...Normally they fight like cats and dogs, but yesterday they played the whole day without any bickering...It was so nice...especially since it looks like they might be sharing a room due to hannah refusing to turn the bonus into her bedroom and Gracie is scared by such a big room sooo we are gonna make them share...I have been really worried about this but feel more at ease....They had a sleep over in the playroom...They worked on the project all day...They made palates in the rose petal cottage :) they are too funny :)here are some pics

Our 10th Anniversary...
It was wonderful...I picked up shane from GSP airport saturday night and we headed to charlotte...This is the bank of America Building..It was right across the street from our hotel...this is also our bank soo cool ?!?!? LOL
We stayed at the beautiful omni hotel...
This was our view from the 6th Floor..our room looked out at the Bank of America Building!
When we got to the room and got settled in Shane surprised me with a wedding band...some of you might not know this but, I have never had a wedding band so i was tickled pink to get one..but it didn't quite go with the my orginal setting, but i didn't care...i mean i was so happy, but shane pulled out another box and i opened it and to my surprise there was a HUGE ring 1 karat round solitare diamond ring...I cried like a baby :)..For 10 years shane as told me he wanted to get me a 1 karat solitare...and he did it!!! beautiful...here is a pic
Sunday we stayed in and ate breakfast in bed and watched a movie...OMG it was so yummy and relaxing...I had amazing pancakes topped with whipped cream, rasberries, blackberries and strawberries with some bacon on the side....sooo good...then we headed to the bobcats game...shane got us some amazing seats and i truly enjoyed myself! The BobCats Played the Toronto Raptors...I loved the mascot Here are some pics
We also saw Michael Jordan Who has ownership in the Bobcats..it was pretty cool to see him...here is the pic i took
Sunday Night we headed out to a 5 star restaurant called Capital Grille...This was the best and most amazing dinner i have ever had...They even had the table decorated for our anniversary...It was so romantic, fancy and unbelievably yummy!

Monday we slept in then enjoyed some shopping at the south park mall and lunch at the cheesecake factory...
We had an amazing time and I look forward to another weekend getaway really soon with my man!

Leaving on a Jet Plane
Anthony just came and got shane to take him to gsp...He is headed out to L.A. for a business meeting for his business...I am so proud of my shane. At the same time I wish they could have just done the day and 1/2 meeting via Ichat :) LOL...I know that it is good for him to meet the company face to face and it will be so cool meeting those guys for shane since he has talked with them over the phone for 8 years, but still......I pray safety on his LONG flight out there...he has a 12 hour flight back :) EWWWWW...so glad i didn't go with him...YUCK! I will pick him up for GSP Saturday night ;)...Praying for Protection and safety for my husband as he travels to the pacific coast!
It is hard to believe we were getting ready to be married 10 years ago.
I think back 10 years and remember how young we were WOW...I never would have ever imagined my shane 10 years later on a major business trip to L.A. LOL or that we would have had 3 kids WHAT?!?! or been youth/children pastor's in virginia and charleston, pastored 3 churches, executive pastor's in greenville twice and planted a church plus moved 12 times all in 10 years....Now here we are...Married 10 years, 30, God has blessed us with a marriage that has blossomed into something so beautiful, loving and precious, something so rare these days, we have had 3 amazing children, experienced all aspects of ministry and have the chance to pastor a growing church, finally serious about settling down and buying a house and thanks to God we have the chance to enjoy and partner on a small, successful business. God has been so good to us and we are blessed beyond measure...10 years has brought laughter, huge tears, mountains and valleys, but through it all :) We have learned to Trust in God and know that in everything to Thank God, Turn to God and Know that He is the author and the finisher of our faith..So here we are 10 years later :)

Typical Love Story
Love Story
I think it was the summertime
When I laid eyes on you
I didn't even know your name
Somehow we'd end up in the same room
It never crossed my mind
I never saw you like that
I should've listened to my best friend
She knew it would be a perfect match
[Chorus:]
It's a typical love story
Started out as friends
We met way back when
This is just a typical love story
The boy you never wanted just steals your heart
I never saw it comin' 'til I fell so hard
I always made up some excuse
Saying you that weren't my type
Didn't want to face the truth
Didn't want to cross that line
'til one day I saw you
Out of the corner of my eye
You were flirting with some girl
And inside I thought I would die
Can't believe its happening
When I least expect it
My prince under disguise
How you fooled me with those eyes
When I feel like letting go
In your arms is where I know
I am wrong
From the beginning we always belong
It's a typical love story
Started out as friends
This is how it ends
This is just a typical love story
The boy you never wanted just steals your heart
I never saw it comin' 'til I fell so hard

my man
i put in a post below of some things that i have learned and things i am learning in the past 10 years of ministry as a pastor's wife because as Shane and I celebrate 10 years of marrige we also celebrate 10 years of ministry soo thanks for indulging me...Just as i posted on what i have learned in ministry from MY point of view here are a few things i have learned and still learning in the 10 years of marriage :)...
* to treat my husband like i want him to treat me...basically respect respect respect him...even if i don't think he deserves it that day :) because a man's need for respect is the same as our need for feeling loved as a woman. I love to respect my shane it brings me great joy but at the beginning NOT so cool :) LOL
* Shut up....Listen to him and not always be the one talking but rather be slow to speak just as the bible tells us to do something that works in any relationship....This is a hard one for me as a woman :) LOL
* Open up to his affection... I used to push his hugs and kisses and affection away, but that makes any man feel unloved and undesired accepting the hugs and affection toward me made a huge deal for the both of us..Also works with intamacy...
* Take care of myself...Sounds selfish in a relationship, but it is HUGE to a man for their lady to look nice for them...it shows i care about him as well...this one is inside and out...when we first got married 10 years ago i wasn't confident in the way i looked at all or even in myself...but i began a journey to love myself and who God made me and I am telling you the more you love and take care of you the more your man will notice and it will make him feel loved...sounds silly but it is soo true...
* Understand that my man is wired differently then me and I am still learning that wiring :), but it helps me not to judge him or get as frustrated with him as i used to....

a stone's throw pillow :) hehehe
I am up a little later than normal tonight...The past few days have been very eye opening and refreshing :)
We have as a family been dealing with a huge decision and decided that we wouldn't go forth with our plans...On top of that we are dealing with church stuff out the butt....Good stuff and some bad, but i can say in any church, traditional or not that is going to be the case...When people come together they bring problems and even some of us crazy pastor's families can bring problems...the only difference at Ridge Pointe is we are more open in our family called the stone's :) which is good and bad....
I am in much prayer for the right decisions to be made and God to show up, because Ridge Pointe is His! There are a lot of things that need to change to go with the vision...Keep It simple is NUMBER One...Sunday Church and Home Groups should be the only priorities...
I myself as a pastor's wife find myself learning some things too, maybe it will help some of you pastors wives that are reading.
1. That planning an event just to have one (because there is no one else to plan it)is not important...and can make our "Simple Vision" complicated...it has to stop especially if the vision and mission of the church is not in practice with such an event....Basically if it isn't done to reach the unchurch, disconnected or lost...then it shouldn't happen!
2. To Shut up...I know that sounds so harsh :) but it is true. I am the type of person who tends to be myself a little too much...I say my piece and i get very frustrated easily plus take things super personal when it comes to the church that my husband and our family has sacrificed for, but that said I am learning to pull back some...not change who i am, but just maybe not be so open..because i don't want my openness to cause me or my family to be vulnerable or to be misunderstood which it has been many times! So I am prayerfully working on myself...LOL if that makes any sense at all! What is cool is I am not perfect and unfortunately with my personality the whole world sees my honesty and truth in that matter...Perfection isn't my strength..but open book is for sure beside my picture in the dictionary :)....along with other word i would never say on this blog :)nevertheless shutting up comes at a price for me...because it pulls me back into a solitary place that can be so alone but so necessary as a pastor's wife for her man.
3. Trusting God...AHHHHH yes y'all i am still learning this...see you would think after my whole life of being in God's Work I would have this one down, because i have seen God in action my friends, but sometimes you have to remind the old mare to go with a good swift kick and yes i do in fact get those good swift kicks a lot! I know to Trust my Lord but my heart sometimes doesn't wanna go there...so goes the swift kick....
4. To Create Boundaries for Myself and My Family...This is a super huge hard hard hard one for me because again...it places me in a lonely place where only Jesus can meet me....This one also includes taking care of my man and making bounderies not only for me but him too...through prayer, love and everyday relationships building up God Walls around my man whom God has called..Because even though He is strong in God he is vulnerable to satan's plan and attack, mentally, physically, emotional and even spirtually...satan wants my man beat down so that he can't do the call of god, but I have to stand up and pray down protection for not only the man that I love, but the man i know to be after God's own Heart....I must be prayerfully watching my children especially as the get older and pray protective hedges in their lives not only as children but mainly as "pk's" aka preacher's kids...I have been one so i know the things that can be said to these children and the overwhelming hate that can begin to burn in a pk's heart for those who come against the church and or the daddy :)....This hasn't happened at our church THANK GOD, but still it is so very important for me as their mother and shane, their daddy to watch out for them because at the end of the day if we haven't reached them, but rather watched them turn into bitter, god hating people then all we have worked for will have been in vain.
5. Putting God First....my open book syndrome is coming out here, because i can honestly say i haven't been doing this...I have been putting ideas first, friendships first, church first, but somewhere down the line God and My Family got lost....NO MORE...
things will always go hay wire when you don't have the order correct...This is our personal order :)
GOD, FAMILY, CHURCH, Business, and So on...
I could keep going but I can share later...More To come I am sure of it!

Quote from an amazing pastor's wife I know "When I learned to take care of my family and husband and myself, I learned a lot"
